By wide margins, Builders Magazine reported that Otis residential elevator products out-scored other suppliers in four key survey areas in an independent survey of builders who include elevator products in their home plans.
The 2009 survey concluded that Otis elevator products scored highest in Brand Recognition, Preferred Brands used in the past two years, and Brands Most Used by home builders. In each category, builders clearly preferred the Otis brand over other home elevator products.
Perhaps the fourth category is the most revealing and best sums up the survey. In the question of Quality, Otis scored an impressive 4.19 out of a possible 5 points while competitor products failed to score better than 3.0. A fitting tribute for a company that has been designing and building elevators for more than 150 years.
